Opportunity: Managing Consultant

We are looking for 2 experienced Managing Consultants to join our talented, fun and friendly Curzon team.  Working from a combination of home, London office (Mayfair), and client site (UK).

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for identifying and developing new business, either by engagement extension or new client acquisition
  • Development and agreement of engagement plans with clients
  • Act as SME lead and overall project lead on client interactions 
  • Successfully deliver multiple project work-streams aligned with clients’ objectives
  • Management of activities and outputs of the consulting team and the client team at a whole project or major work-stream level, from set-up to completion
  • Managing the ‘hard yards’ of implementing change on the ground and making it the new operating reality
  • Effective facilitation and quality of all working and reporting sessions with the client, with responsibility for the content and presentation of findings, conclusions and recommendations 
  • Effective and confident client relationship management week-to-week, ensuring buy-in to and co-ownership of methodology, findings, change design, business case and implementation plans and execution
  • Knowledge management and transfer of ‘how-to’ skills, nurturing change agents within the client business so they are capable of embedding and sustaining change by the time the consulting team has departed
  • Working in close collaboration with Curzon Engagement Teams, Account VPs and Partners
  • Coach and mentor Consultants and Senior Consultants

Person Specification

  • Min 6-7 years’ management consultancy experience gained in a number of different sectors
  • An MBA from a quality internationally recognised Business School
  • At last two years’ senior management experience
  • Previous experience of working with a well recognised management consultancy company
  • Proven project leadership and the ability to build strong relationships with blue chip clients
  • Experience of implementing projects from end-to-end
  • Clear understanding of consultancy toolkit
  • A demonstrable track record in managing strategy, change design and implementation assignments for demanding clients with £100M+ turnover businesses
  • Proven skills in shaping client-consultant joint team engagements, in analysing complex business issues, designing workable solutions, winning hearts and minds for the change, and ensuring successful and sustained implementation
  • A passion for making strategy happen: achieving results that make a measurable impact on the bottom line and ensuring that new ways of working are embedded
  • Experience of managing executive and senior management relationships effectively, on the basis of earned trust and confidence
  • The capabilities to make a full contribution to the intellectual and commercial development of our consulting practice, including thought leadership, mentoring, marketing and bid work
  • Advanced clear and articulate written and verbal communication skills
  • Commercial acumen
  • Ability to identify and acquire new business
